When defeat is the victory

SUPERSPORT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Istanbul, Turkey

11 stage, 13 – 15 September 2013

Sunday, 15 September

Beautiful and open battle between Sam Lowes and Kenan Sofuoglu we saw today in Intercity Istanbul Park Circuit. The Yakhnich Motorsport rider made everything to get the title of the champion here in Turkey but Turkish rider couldn’t let it be on his home track.

Сэм Лоус

As expected yesterday, we saw a great battle between two leaders of the championate. Even Vd Mark attempts couldn't prevent Sam to find good pace and overtook Kenan. Sofuoglu collected himself and left Vd Mark behind.

Сэм Лоус №11

Sam Lowes confidently lead 12 laps trying to increase the pace as much as possible. Although Sam didn't make a single mistake, Kenan approached for 3 laps and attacked in the end of long straight on long braiking in the 12th turn. Sam successfully repel gracefully crossing trajectories going about to finish the first. On the last lap Sofuoglu was slightly faster and increased the pace and was faster Lowes on 0.040 sec.

This victory brought Sofuoglu satisfaction and for Sam the second position separates him from the title only in one point.

Владимир Леонов №65

This race was very hard for Vladimir Leonov who appeared in the peloton. He also had problems with the bike that's why he could finish only 15.

Sam Lowes: «I was sure that could win. But when I saw Kenan I understood that we will put off to Magny-Course. He was brilliant today!»

Vladimir Leonov: «I don't know what to say. Today the engine didn't develop full power and plug evolved in hard braking.  It was difficult to defend my position.”
