Dedicated to Mathers...

“Daughter, where are you going?” – At first sight this question seems quite simple. And this question isn’t addressed to an ordinary girl who is going to the sea-side. A lot of emotions and worries are hidden here. As the daughter is a sportswoman, a racer and is going to the next track. This question is asked with usual intonation but it is clear that it consists of many other questions: “Are your clothes warm? What will you eat? Will you be careful enough? You won’t ride very fast, will you? May be you’ll stay at home this time? I worry so much about you…” But we forbid our mothers to ask us other questions except “Where are you going and when are you coming back?”

Наташа и Надя

It seems to us that we are adult and everything is under control. There is nothing to worry about. And our mothers wait for our telephone calls and e-mail messages at home. Sometimes we receive moving messages and the news that doesn’t accord with our stay-at-home mother’s image:

“Now your news: Troe Corser (the champion in 1996) praised a new BMV model. “HONDA” in 2008 – Jonathan Rea will take part in the season competitions in 2009…

He is the fastest Superbike pilot who has raced in the World Championship for 11 seasons where he has won 33 times and has got 4 bronze medals. He hopes to become the World Champion this year. Mikel Bagricio, an Italian racer is going to be his team-mate.

My dear, I am so tired of your guys! To hell with them…”

And how touching they are while asking about our achievements: “My dear girl, did you touch the ground with your knee in the turn?”

Still we are so cruel…

For years we have been concealing the truth about our first bike, first fall and injury about the loss of our close friends. We devise some ridiculous stories with a Happy End and think that we have managed to deceive everyone.

But no! We just realize that our sport is extreme and try to spare our parents’ nerves.

And how lucky we are! Thank you for your sleepless nights and silent questions which can be read in your eyes, for your support and understanding!

Let us tell you that all our victories and podiums are 100% your merit. We love you! Congratulations on the All Women’s Day!

To measure or not to measure

The topic of the seminar wasn’t simple so the audience (who always asks questions actively) this time intended more to listen than to discuss.
