May tests...

Franciacorta, May 9-10

The team YMS had some training sessions on the already familiar Franciacorta track. The infrastructure of the track is being improved. In the space of our two-month absence the owners widened the parking zone.

Even a Superbike race which took place that weekend on the nearest track in Monza couldn’t lure all the motorcyclists to its stands. A lot of motor race lovers preferred to train themselves and watch the race in live broadcast on TV in a café!

Our team knew what adjustments of the bikes were necessary on that track and the main aim was to do well in the training process after a long break (one month and a half).

Natasha: “I am satisfied with the training results on my favourite track. Since the first training sessions Nadja and I managed to record our best time of the previous training here in Franciacorta. Then our aim was to improve the results and we were able to do it.

Magione, May 11-12

The next competition in the frames of The Italian Championship will take place in Magione.

Having finished training in Franciacorta the team covered 500 km and on the following day started to examine a new track.

Nadia: “It may seem strange but we liked Magione very much, because it has much in common with our home track in Mjachkovo. The Italians were surprised with our fondness for one of the oldest tracks in Italy.

We had an “improvised” race (12 laps) and to tell the truth I was not very satisfied with my results. But then our mechanic Roberto, the head coach Claudio and I carried out big work to adjust my bike. A lot became clearer. And my result improved immediately!

Natasha: “It was hot enough, +31 and it was difficult to spend a lot of time on the track. But our aim was to examine the track as soon as possible and start adjustments of the bikes. In the space of two days Nadia and I managed to shave off about 10 seconds. I understand that the first seconds are easy to cope with. Then we must consolidate and improve our results. We cannot relax as we have very strong rivals in the Italian Championship.”

Claudio Corsetti: “I am pleasantly surprised with the results of our girls. I expected the recorded time to be a bit worse. I see self-discipline and desire of our pilots to train and show good results!”
