“Two charming motor racers from Russia who we met in Italy are taking part in Women European competitions on YZF-R6”.

The test-drive of RSV4 was attended by two beautiful racers. These two girls dressed in identical Dainese white uniforms with numerous emblems are Russian pilots. In the photo you can see Natasha (on the left) and Nadia (on the right).

The girls came to the test-drive having been invited by the Italian magazine “Italmoto”.

There are no good motorcycle racing tracks in Russia. It is known that more than once different projects of building such tracks have been made but none of them has been realized.

It is said that last autumn a new project of building a motodrome in the environs of the Russian capital was started with the participation of the Administration. However this project was suspended because of the World crisis situation and it seems there is no perspective to start it again.

The girls take part in European motor racing competitions among women which are included into the European Championship program.

Last Year in Albaset (Spain) Natasha succeeded in the final competition of the European Championship and even was able to record the 3d best time in the second qualification. The team “Yakhnich Motorsport” organized a junior team contest in order to assist the development of Russian motor sport and give a chance to girls showing good results in mini-motorcycle racing.

Riding sport

“There are not enough good tracks in Russia. We have some go-cart racing tracks but they do better for mini-motorcycle racing. That is why we don’t have many women racers. And if we don’t help each other we won’t be able to go in for motor sport. Even if compared only with the European countries the situation in Russia is extremely unfavourable for motor sport development. The lack of tracks means that there are no conditions to ride a bike for six months. In the low season our team holds motor sport seminars and does its best to make motor sport popular in Russia.”

Though the girls didn’t say it themselves, Natasha and Nadja must be the leading Russian racers among women. I heard, they visit Italy very often in order to take part in Italian motor racing competitions. It would be great if they came to Japan in the future. And the girls in their turn enjoyed the idea of visiting Japan.
