Our Congratulations on the Victory…

As we wrote earlier, one racing day can include different Championships, Cups and Trophies of Italy held on the same track.

Last weekend two Russian teams met on the track in Vallelunga: the first women team “Yakhnich Motorsport” and “RivaMoto” participating this year in the Italian Championship (Supersport class). The team members Vladimir Ivanov, Oleg Pozdneev, Eduard Blokhin and Valery Yurchenko have taken part in several competitions in the frames of The Italian Championship (Supersport Open) this year.

Both Russian teams supported each other.

Natasha Lyubimova: “We were very glad to meet the guys and see their sport level and also to realize that they were watching your race and we didn’t want to disappoint them with bad results!!!”

Eduard Blokhin: “The Cup of Italy is a good opportunity for us to have practice in so to say “field conditions”. We are not the only pilots who take part in other competitions, this custom is popular in Italy and our rivals with whom we compete in The Italian Championship share the start grid with us.”

Our guys took the 9th (Eduard Blokhin) and the 10th (Vladimir Ivanov) positions on the start grid.

After the first lap Vladimir Ivanov was the 4th while Blokhin lost one position. By the end of the second lap Vladimir had already got the second position. In the six lap he took the lead of the race.

Eduard Blokhin had a very interesting race fighting against three pilots and took the 11th place. Unfortunately he didn’t manage to improve his qualification time.

We are always happy to see Russian sportsmen on the podium. Vladimir Ivanov got two Cups at once: for the first place in the race and for the fastest lap - 1:42.835.

We wish good luck to our guys in the final competition of The Italian Championship which takes place in Mugello on October, 11.
