Good news from China

The team “Yakhnich Motorsport” is happy to tell the news about the YMS Junior Team leader Ivan Lukin’s success in professional motoring. Along with his coaching in St. Petersburg (mini-moto class), Ivan Lukin goes actively in for motoring. So, at tests in China the pilot recorded the best lap of Zhuhai International Circuit which is traditionally used by the best European racers for winter training and test sessions. This low season the young Russian has carried out a test program here too (Formula Renault class car) in the frames of training for the coming summer season.

From the very beginning the pilot demonstrated high speed, taking a lead in free-race protocols where the champion of Japan in carting, the vice-champion of Japanese Formula Renault and a lot of other very experienced racers took part. After 5 days of intensive testing Ivan Lukin covered the lap in 1:37.1 having beaten for 0.4sec the official record of this circuit which for more than 2 years had belonged to the champion of Germany and Asia (Formula Renault) Pekka Saarinen! We hope, it is just a beginning of the Russian pilot’s glorious career!

Ivan Lukin: The tests were productive, we were able to achieve perfect results, and I am very grateful to Yakhnich Motorsport for the support and to my engineer and mechanic for their work! It is great that I was able to adopt the real professionals’ methods and I am going to improve my skills. I am looking forward to the coming sport season.
