Yakhnich Motorsport Junior Team shares its plans for the season-2011

In the low season YMSJT continues working hard. The technical staff is engaged in preparation of the bikes for the new season and there is equipment for the team’s boxes in the making. Besides that the racers have started training on the indoor cart racing track and proceeded to anti-damage training in the gym: the pilots and beginners are learning to fall down safely on the mats.

Besides that the selection of applicants to the YMS academy of racing is in progress. Taking into consideration experience of the autumn tests it has been decided to start with a complex physical fitness test in the gym. The team officials had to face the situation when information concerning the applicants’ level of training stated in the form wasn’t always true and it is just dangerous to seat such “young pilots” on the bike. Juniors from sport schools and state motogroups  proved to be the most suitable applicants. The selection is still in progress. The basic team composition YMSJT remains the same: the Champion of Russia-2010 in minimoto Nika Cletsky and Andrey Sviridenko: last season the both pilots showed good potential and interest in further active work.

In the season-2011 YMSJT is planning to take part in the Russian Minimoto Championship and the Minimoto Championship of Finland at the final stage of which last year Andrey Sviridenko came first and Nika Cletsky took the 3rd place. Minimoto tests of the coming season are going to be held in Finland and on the tracks hosting the Championship stages (on the eve of the race) as it was last year. Sport bike tests will also take place in Finland and on the new track in Shushary near St.-Petersburg.
