Nadia Yakhnich’s Sky Helmet

The pilot of the team “Yakhnich Motorsport” Nadia Yakhnich has introduced a new design of her helmet.

The idea of helmet coloration belongs to Nadia, but its realization on paper and its design – to the well-known in motorcycle circles aerograph artist Elena Saphonova, the creator of Yakhnich Motorsport team motorcycles coloration.   

For the fist time aerial stunts performed by the team of pilots “The First Flight” on light sport airplanes Nadia saw being here below. Beauty and extreme mixed by the wings of the small orange airplanes impressed her so much that she decided to express her admiration in her helmet design and dedicate it to all the brave pilots and the inviting sky. 

On the helmet, in which Nadia is going to take part in the Italian Championship, one can see her constant “combat” number 13, with which she has been racing successfully for the last seasons in The Russian Championship, CIV and “The Cup of Two States” – Coppa dei due Paesi. The “Yaks” of the aerobatic team “The First Flight” smoothly fitted into the helmet coloration and the colors of “Yakhnich Motorsport”.

Nadia’s old-design helmet was more informal, full of funny and interesting details; it was often and for long scrutinized by her friends and fans. The new model turned out more modest, so Nadia asked the designer to add a couple of funny details, and Elena easily did it, having drawn several birds “bombarding” everyone below. 

“I was very afraid of flying before, always tried to keep far from planes, and my team-mates who were “lucky” to sit by my side in the plane, had to examine my finger-prints on their arms for long afterwards. Passion for the sky appeared absolutely unexpectedly. Neither I, nor any of my friends could imagine that I am able not only to be a calm passenger but also pilot a sport airplane, which is more dynamic than an airliner. New turns and banks of my life found their reflection in the new design of my helmet, which, I hope, will bring me luck in the new sport season”, - said Nadia Yakhnich, the pilot of “Yakhnich Motorsport”.
