The first day of the weekend in Portugal again set a problem to the Russian team Yakhnich Motorsport – changeable weather conditions!

Step-by-step Lowes improved the time but in the second part the pace changed from stabile to worst. During Q1 on the 9th lap he reached the best time enough for the 1st position - 1’46”1. He left pit lane twice and in the end decided to pit out for the third time and made a great breakthrought improving the time to 1’45”724.

Leonov tried different setting, but in the second part the pace changed from stabile to worst. The best Leonov's time was 1’47”757, the team examined data and took into the account all mistakes hoping tomorrow Leonov will improve his result. Today he was only 19.

In Portimao we can watch also the race of the Stock600 where the Yakhnich Motorsport presented by Dakota Mamola. Before Q1 the sun appeared and it helped Dakota to improve his morning result. He «cut» more than 2 sec with his morning time.  Hope this progress will see tomorrow.
