25 - 27 april 2014
During Free practices the Superbike staff of the team MV Agusta Reparto Corsa – YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT worked on finding basic settings for Corti's F4RR. Claudio Corti rode his bike on the “Cathedral of speed” for the first time so the team didn’t have any developments for this circuit. Step by step the lap time decreased and at the end Corti confidently showed 18th result with the time 1’38.122.
Brian Gillen (the head of the racing department of the MV Agusta Reparto Corse): “Today we tried completely new chassis settings. Bit by bit we try to find new combination for Claudio to give him opportunity to make a really fast lap. The main destination for today was to minimize vibrations on the front when the bike enters corners. Also we try to improve electronics which controls slip of the rear wheel to give Claudio maximum acceleration when he exits corners”.
