The first day of the 10 stage of the World Supersport was good for the team Yakhnich Motorsport as Sam took his provisional pole-position and Vladimir – 4th. Friday is the day of warming-up that’s why results of this day is differ from other days. But if there is leader you see it at one stroke. Today in Nürburg it’s Lowes.

The first practice ended with a great advantage of the British rider as he could overcome boundary - 1'59. According to the FP1 results Sam’s best lap was 1'58.824 and it’s on 1.145 sec faster than Michael Van der Mark (Pata Honda team). Leonov also found his pace and finished on the 6th place.

All day the weather was perfect for showing good results. Sam Lowes tried to find ideal settings which allowed him to catch good pace even for the qualification - 1'59.1-1'59.3. Eventually it became the best result for the Q1 - 1'58.993. Leonov also kept competitive pace and was in the TOP-3. At the end Fabien Foret from the MAHI Racing Team India moved Leonov aside on the the 4th position. His teammate Kenan Sofuoglu  got the second time of the day.

Sam Lowes: “Today I’m very pleased with my work. We waste a lot of time to find stable setting and didn’t use a lot of tyres. We prepared bike for the race and one best lap not for the qualification. I caught a good rhythm at 1'59 and we found what we can improve tomorrow. I’m very glad to return after summer vacations!” 

Vladimir Leonov: “The day was great and the weather is brilliant! We could try a lot of settings and different tyres. We also plane to use new engine on the Saturday qualification and run in it”.

It was a good day also the rider of the Superstock-600 class Dakota Mamola. According the first qualification Alessandro Nocco was the leader of the day and 20 riders took up positions. This year there are a lot of German riders with wildcard and Nurburgring is there home track.

Nurburgring: Lowes got the 8th pole-position

Both riders of the Russian team Yakhnich Motorsport will start tomorrow from the leader position: Sam Lowes got the 8th pole-position on the 11 stage and Vladimir Leonov will start from the 4th place.
