A positive debut for the MV Agusta Reparto Corse Yakhnich Motorsport Team

Smiling faces in the team Yakhnich Motorsport MV Agusta Reparto Corse team at the Jerez circuit. After two days of intense work, the MV factory team took home great technical feedback.

On the first testing day both the F3 Supersport of Cluzel and Leonov and the Corti’s F4 Superbike have not done a lot of laps . The bikes for this test had been finished assembling Friday 22 just in time to leave for Jerez.

So the first day was dedicated to the development of the riders riding positions and the first basic engine mapping, which took a lot of time to the technician.

On the second day the sessions has been much more interesting, and at the end of the day the happiest in the Yakhnich box was unexpectedly Claudio Corti. The italian Superbike, even if the engine is still in a preliminary development stage and fine tuning of the chassis and is still far from the final one that will be used in the championship, Corti did 1'42 " 9 at the end of the tests, with the rider more and more convinced of the bike potential.

In both Supersport Leonov and Cluzel have been engaged in setup runs of the electronics . Also even if the F3 engine development and chassis is in the initial phase, both of them did laps around 1'45 " and for both obtained without ever really pushing. Both riders now are convinced of the high potential of the three-cylinder F3.

Claudio Corti: "I've never ridden a bike with a front end that would give me similar feelings, and even the engine looks really good to me as a starting point. Now I cannot wait to drive the final version of the bike and complete the test in January, but I think we can do well in the first year"

Jules Cluzel: "We have not ridden a lot in this test to develop the electronics and adjust the driving position. I have to get used to driving back in the Supersport and its tires, but at the end of the second day I started to have fun and I think the potential of the F3 is very high"

Vladimir Leonov : "The first day I lost to accommodate the riding position , the bike is really small compared to the R6 ... But right now I have had positive feelings , both for the engine and the chassis. I really think that it will not take much to make it go really fast"
