The MFR Cup 2009 - Stage II
Yakhnich Motorsport did well in the second competition of The MFR Cup which took place in Finland, Motopark track on June 27, 2009.
On Friday the girls took part in training races and a two-hour endurance race. The aim was to remember the track as soon as possible because the closest rivals had been training there for several days already.
Practice and qualification races took place on Saturday morning.
In this competition STK women raced together with Superstock 600 men. Among 29 pilots (8 rows) on the start grid the girls settled in the third row. Nataliya took the 9th position with time 1:40.197 being 0:0.202 inferior to Leon Osipov (Latvia). Nadia took the 11th start position (1:43.803) being 0:0.802 slower than Tatjana Semenova.
The race started. Nataliya was already the fifth taking the first turn. Nadia, having lingered at the start, lost some positions to her rivals but several laps after the position was won back in the course of interesting and tough fight.
Having raced quite stably, Nataliya Lyubimova finished tenth in STK 600. Nadia Yakhnich was able to improve her time for three seconds and found herself on the 11th position in the Superstock 600 racing table.
The girls were absolute leaders of the women race:
1st place – Nataliya Lyubimova (1:41.136)
2nd place – Nadezda Yakhnich (1.40.608)
3rd place – Tatjana Semenova (1:40.971)

On July 1 the team is going to Italy (Magione track) to take part in test races.
