ALMERIA 24-27 JANUARY 2012

Satisfation for the good work was the main feeling of the whoole Yakhnich Team at the end of the second training session, held in Almeria from 24 till 27 january. Yakhnich Motorsport - Almeria 2012

Suspensions, engine and electronic managements of the bike was developed day by day in the right direction, and after the very good results obtained in Jerez last week, we had even in Almeria very good feedback from the rider and from the chrono response.

Already in the first day of training the ritmh was already fixed in 1’39” low. In the second the rider was able to stay for many lpas between 1’38”1 and 1’38”5, and in the thirdh day it was easy for him to fix the best time of 1’37”8.

The last day, the not good weather conditions suggested the team to stop the work in the late morning but it is considerable a good sign that he was able to ride on the rithm of 1’38” low with the asphalt at 5 °C!

Vladimir Leonov: “In this second training we finalized the work on the bike setting, and it was easy to push more and more every session, taking the confidence to ride better and better. Unfortunatly we couldn’t do the long run prevented for the last day, but in this moment I can say that the feeling with the bike and the team is very good. All of us know that now in Australia will be very hard to confirm this results, but we will do our best”.

Sergey Vlasov too confirmed his good mood. In the first two day he worked with the team to find a basic setting with the first suspension set, and run by run his performances increasd, up to reach 1’42” as stable rithm. In the third day we tested a new suspension and immediatly he felt the differences. With this new materials his perfonmances increased again up to signing the best lap in 1’41”9, tyhat is a very good time for a stock 600 in Almeria.

Sergey Vlasov: “I’m happy to see the progression of performances from the bike and from myself, after the knee operation. In this two last training days I had some pain in the neck caming after the crash in jerez last week, but it is good to understand that both, me and the bike, are already about at 80% of top perfromaces. And workinh with the new materials we are sure to obtain better results in the future”

Even the other components of the team made many chilometers in this 4 days. David Leonov is improving quickly riding his Trophy R6. Every session 1 second faster up to sign a promising 1’51”, that is a very good time considering his lack of experience and considering that Almeria is one of the most techincal circuit in Europe.

Nataliya Lyubimova testd some different settings for his Stock R6, and in tyhe last two days her laptimes was stable around 1’51”,- 1’52”. The feeling with the bike increased day by day, and she would have easily broken the 1’50” wall if in the last day we would had better weather conditions.

Наталия Любимова

Nadia Yakhnich did not had meny sessions, as she is recovering the best condition after the terrible accident of last october in Mugello, but it is confortable to see that she is able to do easily good laptimes even staying without riding for many months and still soffering some pain in the left knee that do not give her the best confidence. For sure she will be more aggressive in next training in febraury!
