Supersport world championship
Round 2
Imola 30 March, 1 April
The second WSS appointment of the season started in the better way for Yakhnich Team. Immediatly from the fist laps of the Friday free qualifying, Vladimir Leonov finded a good rithm and a good feeling with his bike, establishing immediatly the Yakhnich Yamaha R6 in the first positions. He was immedialty riding in 1’55”, 1’54”, and as the team putted a soft tyre in the last part of the session, he wents down to 1’53”436, thirth absolute time of the sessione, less then one second to the leader Lowes.
In qualifying session the good mood was confirmed. Vladimir was stabile in the first six position for all session, and in the last two laps went down to 1’53”338, one second from pole position, at the moment signed by Morais.
Vladimir had some little problems in the fastest laps, brakyng is not perfect, and so he lost the possibility to fight for better position, but being already in the top seven of the grid is a good starting point for the week-end.
Team knows how to improve the bike performances, and we are sure we can do even better in next qualifying.
Some modification in the setting, are already preparend into the box number 15, and all team is happy about the good result already signed.
