The pause between first and second stages of the World Superbike Championship was delayed, so Yakhnich Motorsport team decided to go to Aragon half weeks earlier for private tests. In this tests several teams of WSBK and WSS took part.

Tests of 2-4 April were called to strengthen confidence of Sam Lowes and Vladimir Leonov. Also Vladimir had to check up his physical state after the crash in Phillip Island.

 

According to informal data, Sam Lowes was in leaders. But in the afternoon in the first day he crashed and traumatized his left wrist. Sam had full examination. He returned on the track and has shown the best result of this track for WSS class, getting the time 2’01’’7 in the lap.

Vladimir Leonov worked with electronics and also had tests for the engine. He has shown very good time – 2'03”2. The team was convinced that he's ready for the second stage. 

After the long rehabilitation Dakota Mamola returned. He presents Yakhnich Motorsport team in European Superstock 600. He had very difficult operation on the shoulder and didn't have training from November. During three days in Aragon he had 150 laps. He made a huge job to be sure of his readiness for the championship and show the time 2'08"5 for the lap.

Sam Lowes: "On Wednesday and Thursday it' s was very hard to work because I felt the pain in the wrist. But I'm glad that we' be finished our program and convinced the bike is ready. I got that during the could hold the time around 2'02". But we don't know what our rivals have".

Vladimir Leonov: "I'm glad that I'm in good physical state after the crash. We've found excellent setting, so I could hold pace around 2'02" and it's not bad".

Dakota Mamola: "My goal was to ride as many laps as I could and got the time 2'08". I accomplished the task and improved throughput. My bike is very fast. My pleasure is complete for the debut in the European championship".

Yakhnich Motorsport team took part in the opening Tissot’s shop in Moscow

On 28 March 2013 company Tissot together with friends and partners celebrated the official opening of new watch boutique in the center of Moscow (in famous luxury shopping mall GUM which facing Red Square). On this action was Vladimir Leonov – the high-speed Russian rider of Yakhnich Motorsport team.
