Results of Saturday qualification SSP in Donningtone

SUPERSPORT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

DONINGTON, GREAT BRITAIN

5 stage, 24-26 MAY 2013

Saturday, 24 may

The rider of the russian team Yachnich Motorsport Sam Lowes got the fourth out of five possible pole-positions since the beginning of the season World Supersport! He will start his home race at the Donington Park Circuit in front of the current world champion and the main competitor for the title Kenan Sofuoglu and the australian rider Glen Richards on Triumph.

«I am extremely happy, - mentioned Sam Lowes, - each pit out showed improved results. And I am very glad that tomorrow we have a head start as today did a great job. That’s exactly why every pit out was very important. And the most pleasant was the Best Lap! I want to thank the team, my family and fans for the great support”.

For Vladimir Leonov the day turned out to be not very good because of technical problems. Leonov started very good in the qualification and improved the morning time. Unfortunately, the second pit out was the last one as he got irreversable engine problems so 1'33.006 was the best time this day. Tomorrow he will start from the 26 position.

“Donington is not an easy track for me. In the morning we did a great job, I tried to make more laps and improve in each exits. Unfortunately, engine problems didn’t let me to finish this work. It happens in racings. Tomorrow is not going to be easy…”, - said Vladimir Leonov after the 2Q.
