Last preseason test at the Losail circuit ends up with the extraordinary performance of Scott Redding who hits a fantastic second place with a fastest laptime of 1:55,326, behind an impressive Jorge Lorenzo, the only rider to go under the wall of 1:54 in the three nights of Doha.
Scott confirmed to be in great shape, making further progress after the first two days when he has always managed to lower its time.

After an initial phase of work on the set up, the pace of the Brit has grown steadily, and after lapping frequently in 1:55 he has placed the chrono that allows him to look with great confidence at the 2016 MotoGP season debut to be held on this circuit in less than two weeks.
Extremely positive news comes also from Italy, where Danilo Petrucci is continuing rehabilitation therapies in the right hand operated in Melbourne last week after the crash at Phillip Island.

A brace will be applied on his hand to let him make movements for his recovering in sight of 2016 MotoGP debut in Qatar. He will undergo another check up in a few days time.

 2nd - SCOTT REDDING - 1:55.326

I am really very happy. I wanted to push hard to see my potential. At the beginning we struggled a bit with the new tires but things improved after day. Today I was strong with the new tire but I set my best chrono on lap ten with a tire that had 15 laps already. And the race is not much longer. I am very happy, I feel that the confidence is coming. In these days we also had two bikes and this gave me the opportunity to push without having any worries. Qatar GP? When I say that my goal is the Top 6 someone starts to laugh. I'm proving to be able to stay at that level and I will try to do even better.

Another great night for Scott Redding on the Losail circuit at Doha. On the second day of the Qatar test, last step before the start of the season scheduled for March 20th on this track, the British rider was able to make further progress in lowering by 6 tenths of a second his best time (1:56,213) that earned him fifth place in the test debut day.

Having shot down the wall of 1:56 at mid session, Scott continued to improve, lap by lap, notching up an impressive crono of 1:55,677 which allowed him to end fourth the second night in Doha, 1 tenth of a second behind the hypothetical front row and just two tenths off the best laptime of day recorded by Maverick Vinales.

For Redding positive signs came even from the race pace as in the second part of the session he managed to lap consistently in high 1:55 (42 laps completed).

Rather difficult evening for Michele Pirro. Due to a crash on his first laps he was forced to stay long in the pits to allow the mechanics to fix bike one. At the end of day the Ducati test rider completed 21 laps finishing 20th place with a laptime of 1:58,113.

4° - Scott Redding 1:55.677

I am very pleased with how things went today. I improved the laptime and it was a goal. I lapped a lot with hard tyre and I felt good. Then I tried the soft but I have not found many benefits. I had a lot of grip at the rear and little confidence at the front. This is the problem that we must try to solve. We do not know if this will be the race tires and tomorrow we will do other tests. All in all, though, I feel very good on the bike and also the race pace is constant even though I'm not pushing to 100% yet. I'm trying to have fun riding the bike to bring back my confidence. And I'm very happy.

The last pre-season test of the 2016 MotoGP season starts giving to Octo Pramac Yakhnich very positive indications that confirm the excellent shape of Scott Redding. On the first day of activities on the Losail circuit, lighted by the energy produced by the 42 big generators provided by Pramac, the British rider has proven to be extremely comfortable on his new Ducati Desmosedici GP lapping at an excellent race pace since late afternoon. Scott always remained in the first position of the standing ended up with the fifth quickest chrono (1: 56,213) while working on the set up of his bike during the 46 laps completed.

Danilo Petrucci, returned to Italy after surgery on his right hand sustained in Melbourne, is determined to forge ahead of his recovery and to run the first race of the season scheduled in less than two weeks here at Doha. In its place was on track Michele Pirro who led the development work on the Ducati Desmosedici GP completing 50 laps with a fastest lap of 1: 57,891 (17th position)

It's been a good day although the track conditions were not the best. We did not do too many laps but are satisfied with our work today. In the end I tried the second bike and the laptime that came out it was almost the same compared to bike one. Last season Ducati had a great race here so I'm very confident. Today we have been shown to have potential and this potential can grow. Goals for tomorrow? I wish I could improve my lap time and stay in the Top 6 which is the goal of the season.

The MotoGp tests at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, finishes with the bad news related to the accident of Danilo Petrucci whio crashed suffering the fracture of second, third and fourth metacarpal of his right hand. After first aid and diagnosis, Petrux was moved to Melbourne where he will undergo further check uo tomorrow morning. It is difficult at the moment to talk about recovery times. In any case he will miss next and last pre-season test in Doha, Qatar.

Scott Redding come back from three days in Australia with positive indications regarding the growth of the feeling with his new Ducati Desmosedici GP. Even on a day marked by the constant bad weather that forced the riders to stop for more than 2 hours in the middle phase of the test, Scott was able to complete 49 laps, ending up with a time of 1:30.101 that put him is 14th position but less than a second from the pole position of the day and just one-tenth of a second behind the Top 10.

Danilo Petrucci seemed to have found the right set up before the strange crash occurred at Turn 8 in the out lap. Shortly before, in fact, the rider from Terni had managed to lap under the wall of 1:30 passing under the checkered flag in 1: 29.995 (11th place) in his lap 53rd (56 completed).

14° - Scott Redding - 1:30.101 (49 giri completati)

These three days have been positive although it was difficult to find consistency due to the particular weather conditions. Today it would be difficult to set a good laptime because I had only a few hard tires to fit and every time I tried the soft I did not feel confident on the front. However, we have improved traction and this was an important goal. The feelings are good and I'm looking forward to being in Qatar. I want to wish Danilo a fast recovery. I hope he comes back soon and will be already on track for the first race in Qatar.

It was not an easy test. The weather conditions did not help us working on set up and Danilo's accident is too big a price to pay. It's never the right time to fall and hurt but surely this is a particularly sensitive time. It is frustrating, we know. But we must look to the future with strength and determination. We have to focus on the Danilo's recovery, the whole team is with him. We are confident that he will recover soon: the hope is that he will be on track for the GP in Qatar but now is too early to have a clear scenary.

Today was a difficult day but we have to see the positive side because the gap is not large. We used a few tires because we were not ok and there was no reason to try to set a time. I think I gave wrong indications to my technician and only at the end I realized where I could improve. The important thing is that we got there and tomorrow I think I can. I think I can recover well because this is not the position where I want to be. I had little time to turn at a good pace, but I am sure that is the right way and I can stay more comfortably in the top 10. I realized the mistakes I made, and tomorrow I will not repeat them.

9th - Scott Redding - 1:29.941 (60 laps completed)

I'm satisfied with today's work. I found confidence with the bike and tires and every time I went out with the new tire I was able to improve my time. I preferred to focus on my riding style, trying to improve lap after lap without working too much on set up. I'm also happy with my final crono despite a couple of mistakes. At the end of the session I lapped first in 1:30.0, then 1:29.9. I did increase the tire pressure: this led me to improve in some parts of the circuit but in the last two corners I lost a bit the front and I left a few cents on the track. This, however, means that there is room for improvement.

7° - Danilo Petrucci - Octo Pramac Yakhnich #9 - 2:01.217

First of all I would like to thank my team. Yesterday afternoon, half an hour from the end of the session, we decided to try a different set-up and the boys have rebuilt the bike in 10 minutes: something really impressive. Also today in a few minutes they managed to send me out to do this nice crono. This makes us happy even though the day was difficult. If luck has helped us yesterday to find the right time to place the fastest lap, today we suffered a lot. In only 8 laps I experienced two problems that forced me to stay many hours in the garage. I was disappointed because today was the day when we would have to make progress especially on race pace. All things consudered I'm happy because the test result is very positive. I can't wait to go to Phillip Island, a circuit I really like.

9° - Scott Redding - Octo Pramac Yakhnich #45 - 2:01.229

I am very pleased to have been faster today. We tried many solutions on the bike and we were able to get a good result. I think today is the most productive day of the tests. The goal was to find speed and continuity with the used tires and if yesterday I often lapped in 2'03'', today I was able to stay constantly in 2'02 '' and this makes me very happy. I had confidence coming here in Malaysia even though this is a circuit where usually I struggle. After three days of work I feel really good and I'm looking forward to going to Asutralia.

Pramac celebrates 15 years at the MotoGP starting line. The celebration is taking place at Pramac’s headquarters in Casole d’Elsa, Siena, where it all began in 2002. After having experienced Formula One, Pramac turned towards the two-wheeled world and entrusted the rider Tetsuya Harada with the Honda NSR 500. 

The first major success for the team came in 2003 when Makoto Tamada won third place at the Brazilian Grand Prix, and the following season brought Pramac Racing and Bridgestone to the highest spot on the podium of the historic Japanese GP.

Last weekend in Qatar within the frames of the final stage of Superbike World Championship "Yakhnich Motorsport" team-manager Nataliya Lyubimova presented herself in a quite unexpected way: as the author of a pretty outstanding photo project.

12 images reflecting the role of a Woman in the motorsport world will form the 2015 calendar of YMS  - it's an annual tradition of the team to put together the calendar for fans and motor family, and this year it celebrates its fifth issue.  The current calendar is indeed very special – as the team manager expressed herself as a photographer.

The basic idea of ​​the photo project this year is the emotional side of motorsport, which is concentrated in those women who surround the riders: mothers, wives, girlfriends ... "It is a man's world, but it wouldn't mean nothing without a woman" - states the title page of the calendar, gradually revealing the "women's view" on the harsh world of motorsport. 12 months reflect 12 key words that mean so much for the rider on his way to the victory: "Mother", "Сare", "Family", "Belief”, "Love", "Wisdom", "Unity" ... There's a great emotional drama taking place behind the scenes of the motorsport battles, and women are always in the center of all that: here you see the tears of the mother who's son just lost; here are the girlfriend’s eyes filled with hope at the start of the race; then you hear the happy winner's wife screaming... Nataliya Lyubimova managed to reveal a huge world of feelings and emotions experienced by women involved in the daily struggle of men fighting on the world motorcycle tracks. Each photo is incredibly sincere - the author captured the moments of true feelings in the hustle and bustle of the paddock . There are no staged shots, nothing too over-artistic, no even the color - all pictures are black and white - but the emotion transmitted so vividly and honestly, that it touches so deeply. The simplicity of these photographs guides to really incredible depth of understanding the essence of how strong those feelings of the women are. They mostly remain in the shade, but in the end of a day, there's always a woman standing behind every man's victory – in motorbike world as well. That's a very fresh new approach that Nataliya was able to show in her photo project.

What TV shows us about motorsport? It’s adrenaline, fighting, speed, the joy of victory. And I would like to show this world from a very different point of view - filled with very personal, delicate feelings. I want to dedicate this photo project to not only the superbike girls, but also to all those women in different championships and other sports who raise future champions, love them, work for them, worry, care, support, cry their tears for their husbands, boyfriends, sons, brothers... I am a woman, and I know all these feelings very well myself. And I'm very happy to be part of this big motorbike family!"
