Yakhnich Motorsport announces about the beginning of a new stage of its development, the new team, that will take part in FIM Superbike World Championship in 2015. 

Team’s history in the world championship started in 2012.  Starting from that moment the team was presented by the fastest Russian rider Vladimir Leonov. In his debut season he made it twice on the podium of the world championship.

In 2013 the team was strengthened by the young British rider Sam Lowes who prematurely brought the world champion’s title to the team.

In 2014 Yakhnich Motorsport started a joint project with the famous Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta.

Yakhnich Motorsport’s unique knowledge and experience in racing together with  MV Agusta’s high-tech bikes immediately brought the first results. Jules Cluzel won the first round of WSBK. This victory became symbolic for MV Agusta as it was the first victory after 38 years. As in the past Italian bikes are again on top.

The main cooperation goals between Yakhnich Motorsport and MV Agusta apart from sports was a project related to technologies transfer and multinational industrial cooperation.  For a variety of economic and political factors this project hasn’t been started in 2014. Parties decided to terminate the joint project “MV Agusta RC - YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT” in the World Championship in 2014.

Starting from the 7th round of the World Superbike Championship, which will be held in Misano, MV Agusta will continue alone without Yakhnich Motorsport as a factory project. Yakhnich Motorsport hands over all its elaborations and know-how to the manufacturer. Jules Cluzel and Claudio Corti will continue to present the factory team.

Yakhnich Motorsport together with Vladimir Leonov and permanent team-manager Natalia Lyubimova will return to the World Championship in 2015 with fully Russian project Yakhnich Motorsport.

Yakhnich Motorsport has the unique experience of creation, revision and preparation bikes for competitions. The company has skills and approved methods of transforming sport achievements of the team in world tournaments in a powerful and effective marketing tool for promoting brands on the Russian and international markets. The abovementioned information makes us confident we are ready to "conquer" the world with our new Russian project!

The first Supersport race in the history of the Malaysian track was dramatically. Jules Cluzel, the MV Agusta Reparto Corse - YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT rider, starting from the pole position, spent all race in the struggle for leadership. First half of the race Frenchman’s attacks reflected multiple champion of the world Kenan Sofuoglu who heads the peloton. At the equator of the race the leader has changed and now Cluzel fought with Michael van der Mark, occupying the first position in the championship standings. On the final lap Cluzel launched smashing attack but the "Flying Dutchman" competently counter-attacked in the last corner. Finish - wheel to wheel. 0.18 seconds separated Jules from the first step of the podium. Earning 20 points, Cluzel climbed into the second place in the riders standing.

Another rider of the MV Agusta Reparto Corse - YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT Vladimir Leonov also completed the race in the points zone, he saw the checkered flag 14th.

Jules Cluzel: "I'm a little bit disappointed. I could win today. I want to thank my team, the whole weekend we were very strong, every time we were faster. Undoubtedly, the race result is more important than practice and qualifying but the season is long and there are still a lot of rounds. Earlier this year, we had some technical problems but now we are stronger than ever. And we are ready for new battles!"

Vladimir Leonov: "I want to say thankgiving to my team, guys worked on 200%. Unfortunately, one of the beautiful tracks that I really like, we could not subdue. I also want to say a big thank for the welcome to MV Agusta Malasia».

Today at the Donington Park were two exciting races in the class Superbike. The rider of the MV Agusta RC - YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT Italian Claudio Corti couldn't go on the grid because of technical problems so he had to start the first race from the last row. During the session Corti improved and was able to finish 15th earning one point. The second race was even better improving lap time to 1'30 .762 the Italian rider crossed the finish line 12 and brought in the bank 4 points more.

Claudio Corti: «It was a great race for us because from Friday we lost many time on FP2 and FP3 because we didn't have any data to check, to make good settings for the race. Anyway the race 1 was hard for us as we started from the pit lane as we had problems with the front of the bike. We lost many time. I didn't ride the same bike as I rode last races. On the race 2 the bike was similar to race 1. The race pace was better. Guys work hard and thank them very much. I'm sorry that my conditions were not on 100% only 85%. Sorry, guys! They work very hard. I think we made good race 2. But we still need to improve the lap time on the 1, 7 and 8 laps. Our goal to finish in front of EVO. We took 7 sec at end of the race 2. We are not far. The bike improves every time we're on the track. Looking forward for Sepang. Thank you”.

Jules Cluzel is MV Agusta Reparto Corse - YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT rider, climbed to the second step of the podium at Donington where there was the fifth round of the World Superbike Championship.

All weekend riders adjust to changeable weather conditions. Dry but cool Friday weather replaced the Saturday rains. Under the rain drops riders of the Russian- Italian team Cluzel and Leonov won 8 and 11 starting positions. However, Sunday's race was held on dry asphalt under the warm sunlight. Breaking from the start to the fifth position Jules consistently, lap by lap, improved it. On the 13th lap the Frenchman led the race hiting back the Dutchman Michael van der Mark who was the holder of the pole position. Viewers witnessed tremendous battle for the victory. The fight lasted until the checkered flag which first saw Van der Mark.

Vladimir Leonov made a mistake in the eighth turn of the first lap and went far beyond the track but could return to the race. Displaying all his skills Vladimir managed to catch up his rivals but even bet most of them and finished on the 15th place.

Jules Cluzel: “Another miracle! It’s still hard, every weekend we have something to fight with, we have what to improve and customize. But this time we didn’t have much time to work with the bike. On Friday we found a lot of problems but the rain on Saturday didn’t allow us to move forward in resolving them. That's why I call it a miracle because today we had to make a correction of settings blindly. The race was amazing, I felt that was very fast today. The victory was possible but I chose not the right decision - in the penultimate turn it was better to be second at the entrance but in any case I got a huge pleasure from the race and I am immensely happy with our result”.

A huge disappointment overtook the team MV Agusta Reparto Corse - YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT at the home track. The first race of the Superbike was held in good weather conditions. Overcrowded stands of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit created a unique festive atmosphere. Starting from the 21st position Claudio Corti hoped to get into the points zone, however, the legionary of the Russian team entered the first corner next to last. Mobilizing all his resources Claudio methodically overtook his rivals improving his position. The lap time of F4RR was inside the TOP-10 of  riders from Superbike. Unfortunately, the mistake in the turn Acque Minerali brought to nothing all rider’s efforts. Again he got in the end of peloton and had to start fighting for the best position from the beginning. Claudio Corti saw the checkered flag from the 18th place.

In the second race Corti showed the great pace striving for his goal - to finish in the TOP-15. But breaking the radiator cost finish to Italian rider. Claudio had to return to the box.

Claudio Corti: «Difficult weekend. We expected the round wouldn't be easy but this nobody could imagine. Here, in Imola, on the home track, we knew how important for MV to show their best qualities. Dissapointment. In the first race I made a mistake in the turn Acque Minerali. This is the only reason we couldn't finish in the points zone. It was more than real. We should get into the TOP-15 in the second race but in the middle of the race I felt something strange was going on with the bike. There was a hole in the radiator and water flowed out. I saw the temperature of the engine rose to 140 degrees and I immediately went to the box. But we should keep fighting. This progect must live. We are waiting for a new engine in Sepang and we belive in it very much. The Superbike staff stay on this circuit as tomorrow we’ll have test. We’re going to test a new swingarm and some parts. We’ll see. I think we could improve the bike”.
