Interview with Jules Cluzel

Now you work a lot to develop the bike. Do you share work with Vladimir? Or each develops his own bike?

Yes I try. Many times I ask him some questions to understand if he feels the same or not. But also we have to develop our own bike because we have two different riding style and also different body size and weight.

In your opinion, what is the riders role in the victory? Some people say that only 10%.

Difficult question but for sure I don't know where you heard this but rider have a lot more than 10% in the performance! For my point of view it is more 80%!

When you overtake someone and it requires a lot of risk, your decision to overtake or not depend on the personality of your rival?

Yes every rider are different and have a different riding style like one is braking late, one is braking early but accelerate hard, so I adapt and do the overtake when I feel it and think it's the best moment to do it.

* Have French riders any features that distinguish them from riders from other countries?

... I don't think so! Maybe they have a nice accent!

* Said that main rival for the rider is his teammate. What kind of relationship do you have with Vladimir?

He is a great guy and funny! We had a good moment during the test and I hope we will keep the good feeling and ambiance all year!

 * How do you work with your team? In Vladimir's staff there is a mechanic Simon Devese. You've worked together in the Equipe GP De France – Scrab. Are you communicating now?

We work hard because we start nearly from 0 with the bike this winter and didn't make a lot of laps. We had a hard first part of the season.

Simon is a good person and we communicate because we spoke the same language but also in 2006 he didn’t work with me, he was with my teammate.

Жюль Клузель

* Are you gald to be with Corti in one team again?

I'm happy because we have a good relationship. We were teanmates in 2010 in Forward racing and had some great moment together.

* How do you like your MV Agusta F3?

I love her! It's a really different bike but she has a lot of character! Stiff and aggressive! But I think when you understand the way of using, it's an impressive toy! And she's beautiful!!!

* In your opinion, which is the strongest bike on the track? / If you have the opportunity to test any bike on the grid, which would you choose?

The good thing in SSP and SBK is that more or less every bikes can win but every bike has a specification. I think in SSP all the manufactures are close now but I think soon I will be able to make a difference with my F3! I will keep mine!

* How do you evaluate the start of the season?

Up and done! In term of performance I'm happy with what we did in Australia and in Spain and we were really fast and for me the strongest in Aragon. I'm just really disappointed with our technical problem in Aragon because I really thought we were able to win. I continued to score some good point for the championship. But at the end it was not working like this... I feel that I'm strong this year so I'm happy with this and hope it will continue like this.

* What is you key start/race? What does race in Magny Cours mean to you?

Because I love racing and I was dreaming to win races when I was a kid!

Magny-cours is always a hard week-end to manage because we are busy but I love to see and ride in front of my fans, friends and family.

* The next stage will be in Assen. Tell us about your experience.

Assen, I didn't feel an incredible feeling on this circuit but I always love to go on the bike and in the paddock so I'm looking for!

You’re one of riders of the official factory team MV Agusta and current champion team. You have to keep the bar and earn point. Do you feel the responsibility?

Yes I have some responsibility and enjoy it but I don't want to make some pressure with this because it's not the way to win races. I feel great just a little frustrated after Aragon race...

* What do you do between stages?

Relax at home and a lot of training session

* How do you deal with a bad mood?

I try not to be in a bad mood and be concentrate on a constant mood. I learn a lot on this !!!

* Why did you choose such logo?

Because it's a nice a typical French logo! My manger was using it when he was racing. People in France now call me "Chicken!".

* How do you make your mind to race? Do you speak with anybody? Listen something? Maybe watch something?

Now I start to have some experience and things are coming naturally. I try to be in a certain kind of mental position. I try to speak with not so many people! And didn't listen music on race week-end! And watch nothing, just the practice sessions.

* Were there any moments when you wanted to finish your career in motorsport?

Later possible !!!! Hope with some world title!
