Dakota looking for a podium at Jerez

SUPERSTOCK600 CHAMPIONSHIP

Jerez, Spain

13 stage, 18 – 20 October 2013

Friday, 18 October

Dakota Mamola started this weekend from the fifth place showing best laps on his Yamaha R6 with base setup. After the break the weather changed, the temperature rose. In the third turn Dakota crashed but quickly returned on the track and improved his result to 1'48''692  with the potential 1'48. The team works hard over the bike trying to find best balance if the weather is hot.

Dakota Mamola: «This track I know very good. It was my favourite track during the Spain championship GP125. This circuit is very good for my racing style. Morning session was very good. I was on the fifth position. In the afternoon the asphalt was too hot and the grip reduced. We should find better settings for tomorrow. The race will be short – only 10 laps. I will try to be active from the beginning as in the Magny-Cours. I think I have a chance to return to the TOP-5 and even to fight for the podium.»
