He started to take part in serious competitions at 7 years. In 2004 he won the title of the vice-champion in Supersport class in the CIV. Next year he moved to the European Superstock 600cc Cup and won. For four consecutive years he took part in Superstock1000 in the Superbike World Championship and became the vice-champion for three times. In 2010 moved to Moto2 where Jules Cluzel became his teammate. 2013 he spent in the Moto GP. From 2014 he presents the team Yakhnich Motorsport.
